THE MUDBOWL
HALL OF FAME

The tackling era of Mudbowl (Mudbowls 1 through 13) saw nearly 50 men take the field over the course of its history. Many great players made many great plays that we still marvel at to this day.

To recognize their accomplishments on the field, a Mudbowl Hall of Fame is being made here on this website.

This exclusive Hall will be limited to only 10 players, two per year over a 5 year period. The honorees will be selected by the players and fans who played against them or saw them play.

Voting is open only to those who played in or watched from the sideline at least one game from the tackle era. Today's flag game is nothing compared to the brutality and brawn of the tackle game, so it's fitting that only those who know that can make a fair assessment.

What's the criteria? Pick two guys who you think stood out against the competition...guys who controlled the game or made others look foolish.

The two men who were voted-in during the first year of the process were Dan MacNeal and Anthony Garver. Who's next?

Is it Chris Say, who amassed 503 rushing yards in only 3 games?

Is it Corey Perry, who leads in receptions and is second in tackles?

Is it Bob Confer, who caught more than 1,300 yards of passes and 30 TDs?

Is it Chris Kelley, a quicksilver RB who amassed 999 yards from scrimmage?

is it Al Nazario, who leads all rushers with 857 yards?

Is it those guys...or none of them?

The thing is...it's all in the eye of the beholder: YOU. Basically, pick the person who you would pay to watch.

So, send us your votes. The top two vote getters will be in the inaugural class. People can only vote once and it must be for two players.

Send your votes to bobconfer@juno.com

Voting ends on New Years Eve 2009.
